Are you looking for a Greek Restaurant in the heart of the bustling Newtown that offers amazing hospitality, a fun and laid back atmosphere, spectacular food and a place where you might make some amazing memories, then 3 Olives is the eatery you need to visit next.
Celebrating one of my friend's birthday, it had to be an eventful night and the hostess made a gallant effort to leave no stone unturned and ensured we leave with ever-lasting memories.
Greek cuisine needs be no more complicated than a table laden with roasted lamb, sumptuous souvlaki, sizzling calamari and crusty bread. This was the theme in mind when we made our order.
Grilled and drizzled in olive oil, oregano and lemon was the glossy quail, served on top of baked potatoes. It was lean, easily came off the bone and had a delicate flavour.

The lamb cutlets had the same cooking method as the quail but had more dark and meaty flavours. They were served with chips and salad.
The chicken in the open souvlaki was tender, skewered and served with a delicious and fresh tzatziki dip.
Moussaka Melizana was one of the favourite dishes on the table. Baked layers of eggplant and potatoes complemented with salsa and a white cheese sauce was an amazing marriage of different Mediterranean flavours.
The shinny, dazzling Saganaki prawns were perfectly cooked. Tossed in salsa, fetta and garlic, the dish was definitely a crowd pleaser.
One can't really go wrong with the golden looking salt and pepper calamari. Comfort food at its best.
While we were enjoying some nice reds, we ordered an Euro plate. Generous servings of grilled haloumi, chorizo and olives.
The zesty Dolmades were to die for. The vine leaves were filled with rice and drizzled with olive oil, lemon and dill.
The Lagana flatbread, stacked with haloumi, tomatoes and basil had refreshing flavours.
The Dips had loads of variety to offer and were a great conversation starter.
A great restaurant to share a laugh while you enjoy the delicacies from Greece.
